Life and Accommodation

The medical university is located close to the center of the city and has plenty of new buildings, suitable for students, around its neighborhood. Renting an apartment in Plovdiv is an affordable option due to the overall low living costs in the city. The average rent usually goes around 300 euro per month for a two room apartment without the bills. There is also a student residence.

The public transport is well organized and it has a couple of stops near the university. The cost of one thicket is 1lv ( 0.50$ ). However the majority of the students are using taxis since it's more comfortable and it is not so expensive in Bulgaria. Plovdiv is a town of short distances so walking almost everywhere you want it's also an option. 

There are a lot of supermarkets (including Kaufland and Lidl), small shops, coffees and restaurants around the student living area. Nice meal at a restaurant for one person usually goes around 7-8 euro (14-16lv). You can also enjoy plenty of cheaper street food.
